Can do kids ...

This fabulous group of children have signed up to take part in a marathon which is an initiative from the Rod Dixon Foundation.

KiDSMARATHON at Yaldhurst is an 11 week "In School" running & nutrition education program that enables KiDS to complete a full marathon (26.2 miles) by running approximately 3 miles per week.  Throughout the program, KiDS learn the value of good exercise and nutrition habits for healthy living and, best of all, they have fun!

Today was their first session and it was great to have some parents show up and run the first laps with us. These children will be meeting 3x a week. We really look forward to celebrating the finish of the marathon with you all.

This an awesome great blogpost, I like the way you use some interesting words like "Approximately" instead of using the word "around or about". I also like the way you put a lot of pictures so the readers know what you are talking about. Maybe next time, check your capital letters that you put them in a write place, not like "KiDS". But overall this is a wonderful post! Keep it up!

  2. Kia Ora Rimu class, my name is Honor, I am a year 7 at Grey Main School Greymouth. I think that it is a great idea to do a marathon. It is a really good way to get fit and healthy. last week our school did the cross country. But today we had the west coast cross country. but that's only 3 km.
    Well done
