Wellington Camp #1 Cont - The Ferry

How does one describe the Cook Strait? Moody, breathtaking, a voyage of joy and anticipation? Possibly. Or in the words of a Year 8... "That was cool".

Actually, it was surprisingly warm, though there was a bit of a strong breeze once we got out of the Sounds. Small chop, enough for a few of us tired people to head to the deck for some fresh air and a horizon. No one puked though but the real question is would Mrs Taylor have felt queasy if she had been with us?

Side note: She is joining us tomorrow afternoon ... happy dance!

Here are some photos of the afternoon before I head to bed.

I apologise in advance for the toilet roll of photos.

  1. Hi Rimu class,

Wow, your in wellington, that sounds fun.

At the end of the holidays before term 4 started, I went to wellington on the same ferry you were on.

Which hotel or motel are you staying in, I stayed in settlers, ratting, not bad, but my brother stepped on a piece of glass, so I would give it a rating of 3 1/2.

    1. Hi Tyler,

Did you enjoy your trip on the ferry? We did too, even though it was a little bumpy.

We are staying at the YHA. It is in the centre of town and really close to everything. No one has injured themselves yet thankfully.

      Thanks for commenting,
      Mrs Spragg
