Our Student Council Wows Christchurch Schools Again!

Our Student Council were part of the Christchurch Primary Schools Health Forum. This is a chance for schools to come together to share what they have been doing to support health and well being in their schools and to get ideas from others.

The Student Council have been conducting an appreciative inquiry into our school Hero Values to see what the children across the school understand about the values. They presented  what they have found out so far.  They made videos of some of their work, a presentation and pamphlets to support the values.

Next term they are going to look at how they can help get the messages of being a Healthy Individual, Enthusiastic Learner, Responsible Citizen, Open Minded Explorer and what these mean, to some of our younger classes.

Way to go Student Council!! You are really helping to lead our school forward.

  1. Our YMS Student Council members are wonderful representatives for our school. It is great to see our HERO values being examined to make sure they remain relevant for us all.

We all need values to live by and it is great to know that our YMS Values provide a framework for all of our YMS community.
