Enthusiastic Readers!!!

Hi everyone,

In the last blog post we talked about how enthusiastic we are about our learning. We also take time in our day to read books. We love the fact that we have a classroom that opens out onto our little field as it means that with the fabulous weather we have been having that we can sit outside to read. We love having this space.

Where is your favourite place to read?

  1. Hi Rimu class. I really like your enthusiastic reading and I would like to sit outside and read but its the West Coast so yea it rains a lot. My favourite place to read is ether on our couch or on the deck. From Callum in Greymouth.

  2. Hi Rimu Class, my name is Will and I am a Year 8 at Grey Main School. I like how you guys are enthusiastic readers, I think I'm an enthusiastic reader. This year I am trying out for the Grey Main Kids Lit team, that is a competition all about reading. I also like how you get to sit outside in the sun. Something you don't often get to do on the West Coast!

  3. Kia Ora Rimu Class. My name is Emil and I am a Year 7 at Grey Main School. I really like this post you've made and how you've explained how you love reading and the awesome space you have to read! This reminds me when we read in our class and the book I'm reading (Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix.)

What's some of your favourite books? How often do you read? I reckon my favourite place to read is in my bed because it's so quiet and relaxing.
    Keep up the great work!

  4. Hello Rimu Class!

My name is Katelynn and I am a year 8 at Grey Main School in Totara 1!

Looks like you all really enjoy reading. My favourite place to read would have to be the library, on my bed or outside on the grass or on the deck. What is your favourite book to read as a class? Write now I am in the middle of reading Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets. Maybe next time you could make a collage with the photos, that would look really cool! I like how you have added why you like your classroom opening to a outdoor space.

Keep up the great work Rimu Class!

  12. Kia Ora Rium class my name is Angelina and I am a year 7 student at Grey Main School.

Like you I also love to read outside to but at the moment outside it is raining so we can't go outside at the moment.

Next time you could write down what books you are reading, or make the writing bigger so it's easier to read.

    Good bye - Angelina

  13. Kia ora Rimu Class,

It's great to see you guys reading every day. We love reading in Room 4 too. Christchurch looks like a good place to have a school because it looks sunny most days and you can enjoy sitting out in the sun. We were wondering what your favourite class novel is? At the moment we are reading 'Liars' By Jack Heath and we are enjoying it because it's a little bit scary and it's packed full of surprises.
