What a Week! - We are definitely Hooked on Books in Rimu!

Only 1 of the 3 boxes held our book. We had to pick which one it was based on the sound of the box being shaken. We all picked box B but there wasn't a book in there. Then we chose box A and BINGO, our book of the day was revealed, The Person Controller by David Baddiel.
Check out our finished illustrations for the book The First Hippo in Space by David Walliams. We used the technique Batik to create our illustrations and we have been working on them for 3 days. We are excited to share the final results.

We have had an amazing week, and been introduced to some new books and authors. Can't wait to do this all over again next term.

  3. Kia Ora Rimu Class,
Wow! That book looks very interesting. I want to read it, too! I like the illustrations. Very cool! You guys are definitely hooked on books. My favourite illustration is the one with the shooting stars and the dark background. It's the second one. I love the colours you guys used.
