Super Sleuths!

Did you know that you can make 17 using 5's and 3's? Some of our fabulous problem solvers were faced with this very challenge this week and 17 was a number that they predicted couldn't be made.

Our problem solvers set about completing this task in a variety of ways. Some had whiteboards, some had books, some had large sheets of paper others had chromebooks. There was much excitement as numbers they thought weren't possible, could actually be made.

After much discussion, sharing and excitement, these were some of our findings.

Can you help us solve this problem further?
