Rimu 2019 - Check us out!

Check out Rimu for 2019. What a cool looking bunch.

We are Year 5 - 8 and we are excited to work together in Rimu.

Some things we have learnt about each other so far:

We love having lunchtime swims on hot days.
We are making new friends and we are super glad to have some new people in our class.
Mrs Taylor and Mrs Spragg actually mean it when they say silent reading.
We love using whiteboard desks to write on.
We actually have to work in this class, no mucking around.

What are some things you are learning about your new class?

  1. A fine looking bunch indeed. I love reading that 'you have to work in class.' Actually you have to work in life. Here is a great quote from Sam Ewing: 'Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don't turn up at all.'

So roll your sleeves up and away you go!

    1. Dear Mr Robertson,
Thank you for taking the time to comment on our class blog. We thought your quote was very thoughtful. We think as a class that we want to turn up our sleeves and have a go at hard work this year. We wondered who Sam Ewing is and why he knows about hard work? Liam would also like to know if this Year 8 group is the best ... ever.
      Sebastian says 'You're awesome'.
      Thanks,
      Rimu Class

  2. Kia ora Rimu!
We are excited to be paired up with you this year. Thank you for introducing yourselves to us.
To answer your question - things we have learnt about our class:
    1. Each of us show our learning in different ways.
    2. We are all different and act differently in various situations but each have our own unique qualities.
    3. We are not always kind to each other, but this is something we are working on!
Sorry for being a bit late in commenting - we will be publishing our posts later today so come and visit our blog soon!

    1. Kia ora Mrs Lee,
It was lovely to read your comment. Thank you for taking the time to write on our blog. We think the 3 things you have learnt about each other sound great. It does take time to learn and understand each other's perspectives. We look forward to reading your own posts.
      :) Mrs Spragg
