Who is our Audience?

We are learning to create a positive digital footprint.

We often share personal information when we are online. The people we share with could be our friends and family or people we don't know.  We have looked at who visits our class. We were really surprised by who does.

Easter Fun Day - A little late ...

A little delayed but here is a photo story of our Easter Fun Day.

The teachers were a little crazy and had a bubble party before school started. The Easter Bunny had been to visit too - stolen the teachers keys and filled the cubbies with balloons. Who knew the Easter Bunny was so cheeky.

We had a great day making and creating our Easter Hats. The class was a bit of a mess, but we cleaned up well.

There was an Easter Hunt (what a busy day the Easter Bunny had). We do love chocolate.

After break there was the Easter Parade, egg drop and the chicken dance. It was a bit cold and slightly damp but we made it.

Thanks everyone for making it such a great day.
Enjoy the photos (sorry some are sideways, not sure why).

Our Generation United to make a change!

Today we had a special visitor to our class.
Alex from World Vision came to tell us all about the 40 Hour Famine for 2017.

This year the 40 Hour Famine is supporting Syrian Refugees. This is the same as last year. Usually they try and support a different cause each year but because it is still a major problem in the world they want to continue to make a change.

Some facts about Syria:

  •  It has been going on for 7 years (that's longer than our junior classes have been alive!)
  • Many people who are just like us have had to move away from their homes to live in refugee camps.
  • The money raised will help support children in these refugee camps.
Last year the Year 6-8 Rimu class raised over $1000 dollars. With more students this year we are hoping to raise even more. We are pretty excited about this. And with our books we received a world vision bracelet. We are wearing them with pride!

So we have 5 weeks to get ready. We hope you support us by sponsoring our awesome cause.
(And it also counts towards the William Pike Challenge Award - fantastic!)
